It was a wet day in Papakaio and many of the kids couldn’t get to school. So their teacher old Mr. Brown decided that assessing explanations wasn’t a good idea. He decided to t-t-t-t-ell the k-k-k-kids the ghostly tale of Frances Brandywine. Little did he know the horror that he would unleash……….

Watch the video below to hear the legend for yourself. We stopped the movie after 4:50 and wrote our own endings for the story. The results were creepier than a barrel full of centipedes………….

Our Year 7/8 speech finals were held today. The standard of speeches was absolutely incredible (better than any year before) and the range of topics was as diverse as ever before. We had people speaking on topics as wide ranging as palm oil production, alternative energy sources, which side of the road to drive on, war, smoking, uniforms, extra-curricular activities, zoos, screen time dangerous dogs and even the Auckland housing crisis. But the winning speech came from Leyanne Monoy who delivered a thought provoking, well written and impeccably delivered speech on of the dangers of forestation. Congratulations Leyanne, and well done to everyone on what was a hugely successful day. I am so proud of you all.

In the long weekend I got Maddi over for the day, and we had loads of fun 😊. I also went out for lunch on Monday to my friends house. My family and I were planning on going somewhere this long weekend but that didn’t happen 👎🏼. But I did have a lot of fun this long weekend! Happy birthday liz👑. Hope you all had a fun long weekend!
