This term we have been looking at Earth Systems. In particular what lies beneath the surface of the earth and what effect that has on us living at the surface. Stay tuned for some pictures and videos of the experiments that we completed to cement or knowledge.
Today in science we have been doing some observational drawings. We have been practising this by looking at the difference between bees and wasps. firstly we watched a video on Youtube called Austin’s Butterfly. It talks about how it is important to draw what we SEE and not what we IMAGINE. That is the whole point of OBSERVATIONAL scientific drawing. If you saw one flying by you might not be able to tell the difference between a bee and a wasp but through our OBSERVATIONAL DRAWINGS we can see that there are a number of huge differences in shape, size, anatomy and colour.
here are the images we used for our observational drawings……
Can you spot the differences when you look closely? Keep watching for the results of our drawings……..
